To simplify operation the tracks and turnouts are numbered.

The turnouts are actuated by spring loaded center-off toggle switches. They connect to the auxilliary triggers on the ZIMO MX82V, each of which handles two turnouts.
Decoder modules
For easy replacement and/or troubleshooting the decoders are mounted on small project boards. To make things even more convenient all connections are plug-ins. The pay-off starts at the initial programming of the decoders. Each decoder has a separate DCC feed.
