I think the RhB should have put the LGB display layout there, on a kkw flat....
Well, compared to the zinc rot version I have, this will likely at least hold up. Though it's not as detailed as the Kiss.....and I bet it will come with that overscale steam era engineer in it.

Well - here we go - the full 2019 roster from LGB:

http://streaming.maerklin.de/public-med ... b_nh19.pdf

Couple of nice things, couple of surprising things, and couple of "make-it-up-as-you-go" things! :))

RhB

Ge 6/6 II we knew
New paint for the Ge 4/4 II we also knew
New road numbers and paint for two steel passenger cars
New road number for the DS baggage

The Red 4035 D2 car is interesting - given that in the last 3 years we have already had:
    Green D2 4025
    Velo D2 4029
    Green (Club) D2 4052

Shame that the axle spacing wasn't corrected.

All in all, for us, 2019 currently promises:

2 Electrics, both Era VI
2 Passenger Cars, one Era IV, one Era V
3 Baggage Cars, one Era V, two Era VI
(Sorry HJ - not much green this year!! :)) )

Coke 8-|

At the other end of the spectrum, it seems we're back to the "they'll buy anything!" marketing strategy with the absurd Coke Repaints.
(Well, at least it's just old molds)

Jim Knopf

Not my thing - but I do appreciate that rather than just slapping cartoon logos on stuff with no rhyme or reason (snoopy, Dots Candy, etc), there was at least an attempt here to make something that will appeal to the next generation of rail fans...

Others

I think the DCC starter set is smart.
It's nice to see the little Feldbahn and Strassbahn loks being reissued.
I find the lack of US prototypes amazing - a couple of cars - a White Pass flat, and a tank. Underwhelming. I wonder if US equipment isn't selling, or if we're just seeing the positioning of a US-centric summer offerings program?

Most Surprising

Perhaps the most interesting thing to me (and unexpected) is the "conversion" parts being sold!

I honestly never thought I'd see the day LGB would get out front and sell parts as a business!

For me the biggest surprise was the Massoth navigator and wireless receiver adapted to work with the CS3. Smart move on their part as addresses a major weakness with their central station.

As for the trains...nothing for me this year. I think I have already used up my hobby allowance on new car tools anyway. :p

So what are the four pages about the Golden Spike all about? ;) That’s a bit random! At least they haven’t done the Saxon 2-10-2 to destroy my budget :)
Bemo you can release the Om Ge4/4 now :)

Good question about the golden spike pages....I kept waiting for the big reveal but then...nothing. I wonder if they will add some pages about those locomotives after they introduce them at the Toy Fair?

Those conversion kits are already available from Bernd Betz.

Better and less costly.
MLGB just copies the BB design.

A big chunk is the Ge 6/6 II which will come in more versions in the coming years.
Maybe already a normal red version this year.

That golden spike puzzles me too.
I couldn’t find the follow up on it.

There is still room for spring, summer, autumn and in between new items.

What the?! LOL... I wondered if this would be the case.

I know there are major festivities set for the anniversary this Spring. When I saw the article, I wondered if it was a prelude to announcing a new 4-4-0 model later this year. Looks like it!

I'm gonna guess that this year, it's 8K, and next year starts the never-ending series of paint schemes and road numbers around $1000 each... this generation's mogul! :))
(Plus, with Bachmann more or less out of the game, the time to strike is now, before Piko goes and does it!)

The way I look at those "Anny" engines, this should result in enough funds to build some new moulds for some new RhB stuff! :ymdevil: :ymdevil:

Reading the blurb they are going to be cast metal! So is this the LGB version of the Bemo metal collection? These aren’t going to emerge in the normal range at sane prices either I suspect. They seem to be heading off up an elite path yet can’t even be bothered with a special mould for the Jim Knopf set. Two extremes of effort, lazy at the affordable end unfortunately as they already hold the license for the HO/Oe version.

LGB Fall new items announced. Only the German PDF link was live. Surely other languages will follow shortly. Nothing good to report regarding RhB models IMO. Just repaints. Ho hum. :-W
Bright side is that cash $$$ stays in my pocket once again! :D Well, not really with 2 young boys. The weekly grocery bill is skyrocketing! ;)
