Once in a while I check out this r/c machinery website because of the incredibly talented guys on there. Today I found this thread that has some (I think) really clever 3D print solutions that I thought were worth archiving because they might come in handy for us someday.
In this case, I love the way he is moving the arms with cables routed through springs in the 3D holder...

Maybe we can keep using this thread when we find such useful ideas?
HJ--keep up the great work with all your 3D projects!

As my projects go, well they are going. Since I haven'got my head wrapped around FreeCAD yet, I finally figured out that with Sketch up I need to do things from the top down, not from the ground up.
Low and behold doing it that way there are no "holes", no incorrect faces etc. Today the check features cam up with "all shiny". Which doesn't preclude me extruding in the wrong direction when generating small grooves as borders between boards ... I just have to pay closer attention to all those minor details.
